checking body mounts.

Here is no.4 body mount, well whats left of it!

No.2 body mount swolen & rust eaten.

Of course the bolts were rusted so bad I had to cut the heads off ,

For where I did not have access with a cut off tool I used a air grinder with a cobalt tip to grind off the bolt head,

Both no.3 body mount bolt heads were removed this way,

The car now has shelter from the elements for me to start the strip down,

Up-grade on the centre console,

Removal of old gauges,

Sand blasted primed and sprayed with new guages installed,

Re-furb on centre blower,

Lit up new clocks.

I origionally bought this car to have for weekend driving and so on, I had in mind to tidy up the overall basic apperance starting with the interior then wheels etc; but once I started to remove certan parts I soon realised that this is going to need a little more than a tidy up,

Of course this being a blog page the most recent work I have done will be displayed first.
(a bit like reading a book from back to front really)

To the right there ia a Restoration Archive so you can select older posts from start to finish.
